About the event
In a rematch of the first NHL preseason game played in the Lehigh Valley back in 2015, the Flyers will host the New York Islanders Wednesday, Sept. 20 at 7:05 p.m. at PPL Center, the team announced at a news conference Wednesday morning.
Both parties, the Flyers and Phantoms, made clear how lucky they are as they disclosed the upcoming game. Phantoms co-owner Jim Brooks related how thankful the team is for the support from the community — both from businesses and fans — as well as the affiliation with the Flyers and the opportunity to host events such as NHL preseason games.
